Spare ribs are the bones connected to the belly. These ribs are normally slow cooked, barbecued or baked slowly at a low temperature. ( Approx 1 – 1.2 kg )
Spare ribs are flatter and contain more bone than meat but as they contain more fat they often end up more tender than short ribs. The fat renders through the meat as they are slow cooked for fall off the bone, melt in the mouth goodness.
